WHAT IS MEDICINE 3.0?
Medicine 3.0 is a term made popular by "Outlive" author and physician Peter Attia MD. It is functional medicine where an individualized preventative, root cause approach is applied to patient care. Most functional medicine practices offer an introductory call with the care team to determine patient concerns. Follow up appointments with the doctor are tailored to individual needs, but can include time with a health coach, blood work, specialty lab testing, and practitioner grade supplements. The goal of functional medicine is to have a holistic approach to proactively prevent disease.
