Even with the rise of implants, partial dentures and full dentures are still available for affordable full mouth restoration and tooth replacement at Thousand Oaks Family Dentistry. While they are not as “natural” feeling as implants or bridges, they can provide a multi-tooth solution at a very reasonable price.
Today’s technology allows us to make dentures in a variety of shapes, colors and sizes. For each of our denture patients, the ultimate goal is to provide a completely natural appliance. Your first appointment with Dr. Kari Ann Hong will involve impressions and a few diagnostic photographs. We then send this information off to our lab, which will set up custom dentures with the teeth set in wax. This allows us to try in the appliance to make sure the location of the teeth is ideal. Once the esthetics and overall fit of the denture has been approved, the lab removes the wax and sets the teeth permanently in acrylic. There are usually follow up appointments to makes some minor adjustments to the denture, until it is completely comfortable in your mouth.
